Stephen Morrissey of Ireland is the World’s Best Barista

The WBC finals were very exciting! The Compak team made a trip to Denmark to be a part of the Wonderful Coffee Show held in Copenhagen where we spend 4 packed days at our stand and watching the 51 competitors battle to be the best barista in the world.

After 3 days of tight competitions, the 6 finalists were decided: Daniel Remheden of Sweden, Søren Stiller of Denmark, Stephen Morrissey of Ireland, David Makin of Australia, Liesbeth Sleijster of the Netherlands and Michael Yung of Canada. Each received a K-3 Touch domestic grinder toto continue honing their craft at home.

The 9th annual WBC champion is Ireland’s Stephen Morrissey who won with 738.5 points and Compak was there to award him a K-10 WBC grinder. It was a tight race and the placement ranking was:
